Telangana State ICET Counselling 2024: Registration Process Begins for First Round

The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has officially started the registration process for the first round of TS ICET counselling 2024. Candidates interested in securing admission to MBA and MCA programmes can apply through the official TSCHE website, tgicet.nic.in. The counselling process will unfold in two phases, followed by a spot admission round.

Eligibility Criteria for TS ICET Counselling

To be eligible for TS ICET counselling, candidates must meet specific academic and residency requirements. General category candidates need a minimum score of 50 percent, while candidates from other categories require at least 45 percent. Additionally, applicants must be Indian nationals and residents of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, as per the guidelines outlined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979, and its subsequent amendments.

For MBA admissions, candidates should hold a recognised Bachelor's degree of at least three years' duration, excluding degrees in Oriental Languages. For MCA admissions, candidates must have a BCA, BSc, BCom, or BA degree with mathematics studied at the 10+2 level or during their graduation. Degrees obtained through distance learning must be recognised by UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB as per UGC regulations.

Age limits also apply for scholarship eligibility, with a maximum age of 30 years for general category candidates and 34 years for other categories as of July 1, 2024, based on guidelines from the Social Welfare (Education) Department.

Certificate Verification and Seat Allotment Process

The process begins with certificate verification for candidates who have already booked slots, scheduled between September 3 and 9, excluding September 7. Following this, candidates can exercise their options from September 4 to 11, with the final freezing of options on September 11.

The provisional seat allotment results for the first phase will be announced on or before September 14. Successful candidates will need to pay the tuition fee and self-report through the official website between September 14 and 17. The final phase of TS ICET counselling will kick off on September 20.

During the final phase, certificate verification for slot-booked candidates is set for September 21. Option exercising will take place on September 21 and 22, with the final freezing of options on September 22. Provisional seat allotment results for this phase will be announced on or before September 25.

Spot Admission Guidelines

Guidelines for spot admissions in private unaided colleges offering MBA and MCA programmes will be published on the official website on September 27. Students allotted seats in the final phase must report to their respective colleges between September 25 and 28.
