On Friday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met with Manoj Soni, Chairperson of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), to discuss the restructuring of the state's Public Service Commission, drawing inspiration from the UPSC model.

Accompanying the Chief Minister in this meeting was Telangana's Irrigation Minister, N Uttam Kumar Reddy. According to sources within the Telangana government, the Chief Minister engaged in a comprehensive conversation with the UPSC Chairperson, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).
Addressing the issue of unemployment in Telangana, the Chief Minister expressed concern, stating that the previous government had failed in providing employment opportunities for the youth. He highlighted the shortcomings of the past recruitment efforts, noting instances of paper leaks and corruption.
During a press briefing on Thursday, he emphasized the severity of the unemployment problem in the state. Notably, in 2023, the leakage of question papers for recruitment tests conducted by the TSPSC had created significant turmoil in the state. Both the Congress and the BJP had organized a series of protests against the then BRS government.
