Teachers’ Day 2024: National Awards for 50 Top Teachers Announced, Check Full List and PDF

Outstanding educators who have made noteworthy contributions to the area of education are recognized each year with the National Teachers Awards, a renowned award given on Teachers' Day in India. The 2024 recipients have been revealed by the Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy this year. Fifty outstanding educators from different states and union territories have been selected for this honor.

Teachers’ Day 2024: National Awards to 50 Teachers

These awards will be presented by President Draupadi Murmu in a ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan on September 5 at 4:15 PM. The purpose of the awards is to encourage and inspire teachers by acknowledging their invaluable contributions to society. This year's recipients include teachers from 28 states, three union territories, and six different organizations, highlighting the diversity and inclusiveness of the awards.

Honoring Excellence in Education:

This year, the awardees consist of 34 male and 16 female teachers, including two Divyang (differently-abled) teachers and one teacher dedicated to working with children with special needs (CWSN). Beyond the 50 school teachers, the awards will also honor 16 educators from the Higher Education Department and another 16 from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

The awards underscore a wide spectrum of educational excellence, recognizing contributions in various domains of learning and skill development. The diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise of the awardees reflect the inclusive spirit of this recognition.
