Tamil Nadu class 10th or SSLC board exams today, March 26. The TN Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination will start at 10 AM and conclude at 1.15 PM. These exams will run until April 8. All students scheduled to take the exams will be allotted 10 minutes of reading time for their respective question paper, along with an additional five minutes for verifying their particulars on the answer sheet.

This year, a total of 9.38 lakh students will be taking the examination. Among them, 9.10 lakh students hail from 12,616 schools, while 28,827 are private candidates, and 235 are incarcerated individuals, as reported by PTI. The examination will be conducted across 4,107 centers, with 48,700 teachers appointed as invigilators. Additionally, to deter malpractices, 4,591 flying squads will be on duty throughout the examination period.
Tamil Nadu SSLC 2024: Examination Day Instructions
Listed below are the guidelines to be followed on the day of the Tamil Nadu SSLC 2024 examination:
- Ensure to reach the examination center well ahead of the reporting time.
- Before starting to answer the questions, carefully review the entire question paper, paying close attention to instructions, marking schemes, and any specific guidelines provided.
- Students must have their TN SSLC admit card 2024 and essential stationery items.
- Adhere to the directives given by the invigilator or exam supervisor.
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, iPads, calculators, Bluetooth devices, or headphones are strictly prohibited within the examination hall.
- Bringing any notes, textbooks, or reference materials is strictly forbidden.
- Avoid any form of cheating or communication with fellow students during the examination.
To pass the TN board exam in 2024, students must secure a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. This criterion applies to passing compartmental subjects as well. Candidates failing in one or more subjects have the option to apply for compartmental exams.
