Tamil Nadu SSLC 2014 results are out, 90.7% students pass

The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education, Chennai has announced the results of SSLC board examination 2014 today at 10 AM.

Around 90.7% of students passed the examination.

A total of 19 students (1 boy and 18 girls) have scored 499 marks out of 500. 125 students (24 boys and 101 girls) have scored 498 marks and 321 students (75 boys and 246 girls) have scored 497 marks.

Toppers are, Akshaya, Krithika, Maivizhi, Sandhya, Revathi Aparna, Deepti, Kayalvizhi, Deepti, Faritha Banu from Dharmappuri, Kavya from Krishnagiri, Mahesh from Pattukotai, Varshini from Tiruppur, Pajira Banu from Cheranmandevi, Suprita from Tenkasi and Srirathnamani from Virudhnagar, Krithika from Kallakurchi.

The number of students who scored 100 out of 100 in each subject:
In Mathematics - 18,682
In Science - 69,560
In Social Science - 26,554
In Tamil - 255
In English - 677

Erode district was ranked first with 97.88%, Kanyakumari district in second place with 97.78% and Namakkal in third place with 97.58%.

A total of 10,38,876 candidates appeared for the SSLC examinations. The students from 11,552 schools in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry wrote the examination.
