The Tamil Nadu government has decided to postpone the Class 12 board exams in view of the COVID-19 surge across the state. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K Palaniswami has chaired a high-level meeting to review the situation of Coronavirus in the state and decided to impose a complete lockdown on Sundays and night curfew between 10 pm and 4 am to contain the spread of the virus. Hence, the TN Board has decided to postpone the Tamil Nadu HSC exams 2021. However, the ongoing TN HSC practical exams will be conducted as per the schedule. Most Important Tips For Board Exams Revision
Earlier, the TN Board has scheduled to conduct the Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) exams between May 3 and 21, 2021. The Board is likely to announce the revised date sheet soon on the official website. The official statement has announced that private and public transport will not be available during the night curfew. The government has announced that there would be no permission for summer camps. The universities and colleges will be encouraged to conduct the classes and exams online.
Last year, the Directorate of General Education, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has conducted the Class 12 board exams between March 2 and 24, 2020. The last paper got postponed due to the COVID pandemic followed by the nation-wide lockdown and held on June 4. It has released the Class 12th (HSC) result 2020 in July. The overall pass percentage of TN HSC exams 2020 is 92.3%.
