In a video message, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' mentioned that a lot of requests are receiving from parents and teachers. We are thinking about the option of reduction in the syllabus besides instructional hours for the coming academic year 2020-2021.
He requested all teachers, academicians and educationists to share their suggestions regarding this issue using #SyllabusForStudents2020 on MHRD's or my Twitter and Facebook page. Hence, the minister can take up a decision.
The educational institutions including universities across the country have been closed since Janata Curfew, i.e., March 22 followed by nationwide lockdown to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.
Earlier, HRD Minister has announced the new exam schedule for pending papers of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examination 2020. The annual exams will be held between July 2 and 15, 2020.
