Supreme Court Recruitment 2024; Eligibility,Educational Criteria and more

The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has released a notification inviting applications for the position of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official SCI website at main.sci.gov.in. This recruitment endeavor aims to fill a total of 90 posts within the organization. The registration process commenced on January 24 and will conclude on February 15, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must hold a Law Graduate qualification (prior to taking up the Law Clerk assignment) and possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law, including an Integrated Degree Course in Law. The degree should be from a recognized School/College/University/Institution established by law in India and acknowledged by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as an Advocate. The age of the applicants should be between 20 and 32 years.

Application Fees

To complete the application process, candidates are required to pay an Application/Test Fee of Rs.500/- along with applicable bank charges. The payment should be made online through the Payment Gateway provided by UCO Bank. For further details related to the application process, candidates are advised to visit the official website of the Supreme Court of India.

Age Criteria

The applicant should be not less than 20 years and not more than 32 years of age as of 15.02.2024.

Academic Qualifications

(i) The candidate must hold a Law Graduate degree (before commencing the role of Law Clerk) with a Bachelor's Degree in Law (including an Integrated Degree Course in Law) from any School/College/University/Institution established by law in India. The degree must be recognized by the Bar Council of India for enrollment as an Advocate.
(ii) Candidates currently in the fifth year of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course or the third year of the Three-Year Law Course after completing graduation in any stream are also eligible to apply. However, they must provide evidence of acquiring the Law qualification before taking on the role of Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate.
