Osmania University will not allow any students aged above 25 years, to get admission in any of the courses at the varsity from the year 2015.
OU, Registrar, E Suresh Kumar said, "We have many students aged above 25 years who are pursuing their Ph.Ds. Most of them lack clarity in their academics. For this reason, from the next batch, we will focus on making them more employable and get them jobs rather than enrol them in further educational programmes."
Suresh Kumar said that the age group between 25 to 35 is the most important phase in the life, and it is most productive period. Those students should not waste their age their time on the campus, but they can contribute valuable things to the society.
The Psychologist and Personality Development Trainer, Dr V Nagesh of Equal Opportunities Cell of the University would be conducting the training programme to the students, to increase their employability.
These training programmes would be held under the aegis of Human Rights, and Duties Education developed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
The programmes will start on January 23, 2015, and it will be held at various auditoriums in the city twice a month.
The first session would be held at Tagore Auditorium at 2 PM on Friday.
