SSC Stenographer Grade C and D begins today, September 9, 2026. The computer based test window runs September 9 to 12. Region wise admit cards are going live on SSC regional portals. Remember, the city slip only shows city and date; it is not valid for entry.
Only 2026 applicants can download their Admission Certificate from their region. Visit the regional website, open Admit Card or Application Status, log in with Registration Number and date of birth, then print. Admit cards release two to three days before each shift. Regions unlock at different times, so keep checking.

The CBT is scheduled between September 9 and 12. Shifts vary by centre and region. Your admit card will specify reporting time, gate closure, and lab address. Expect biometric registration and frisking, so plan buffer time. Arrive at least 90 minutes early to avoid gate issues.
The city intimation slip helps plan travel and accommodation. It is not an entry document. Entry requires a printed admit card plus original photo identification, such as Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID, exactly as instructed on the Admission Certificate. Carry a spare printout and follow all printed directions.
Track Northern, Western, Southern, Karnataka‑Kerala, Central, Madhya Pradesh, North‑Western, North‑Eastern, and Eastern regional portals listed on SSC’s admit card page. Use Registration Number and date of birth, select the Stenographer exam, and print in A4. If a link is missing, revisit later; releases are staggered.
Using an own scribe requires the scribe’s fresh One Time Registration on ssc.gov.in with Aadhaar authentication. For Stenographer Tier I, map the scribe’s OTR by September 7 to generate the entry pass. Bring the disability certificate, scribe proof, and relationship affidavit if applicable.
Leave electronics, smartwatches, and study material at home; bags are discouraged. Frisking with hand‑held metal detectors and biometric verification is compulsory. Rough sheets and pen are provided and must be returned. Unfair means invite debarment and action under the Public Examinations Act, 2024. Read every instruction on your admit card.
Download your admit card now, verify centre and shift, and arrange travel early. Keep original ID, two prints of the admit card, and recent photos. PwD candidates should finish scribe OTR mapping by September 7. With exams from September 9 to 12, arriving early and following instructions will prevent last‑minute setbacks.
