The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), under Govt. of India, has released an advertisement, invited online applications from eligible and interested Indian nationals for filling Nineteen (19) vacancies to post of Junior Engineer in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts engineering disciplines through direct recruitment. The application-cum-registration process towards the same started on October 1, 2020 and closes on October 30, 2020 by 11:30 pm with November 1, 2020 as the last date for paying the application fee.

SSC Recruitment 2020: Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Junior Engineer posts through SSC Recruitment 2020 must not have exceeded 30 years of age (32 years for JE Mechanical in CWC) as on January 1, 2021 with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 3 years (OBC) and 5 years (SC/ST) respectively as specified in the SSC notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 (UR/Gen/OBC) as application fee for Junior Engineer posts under SSC Recruitment 2020 through online mode as mentioned in the official SSC notification. However, SC/ST/PWD and Ex-SM candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

SSC Recruitment 2020: Education And Eligibility

Candidates applying for Junior Engineer posts through SSC Recruitment 2020 must possess a Degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering disciplines from a recognised Institute/University with desirable work experience in the concerned area as detailed in the SSC notification.

SSC Recruitment 2020: Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates for Junior Engineer posts through SSC Recruitment 2020 will be done through a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) - Paper I scheduled from March 22, 2021 to March 25, 2021 and Paper II as mentioned in the SSC notification.
Candidates shortlisted for Junior Engineer posts through SSC Recruitment 2020 will be paid emolument as per SSC norms.
