SSC MET Recruitment 2017 Last Date for Application Extended!

The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) has extended the date for the submission of the online application for the recruitment of scientific assistants in the Indian Meteorological Department(IMT).

Interested Candidates can now submit their application by August 14, 2017 instead of the earlier mentioned date August 4.

The recruitment process for the scientific assistants for IMT are looking to fill in 1102 posts.

The interested candidates will have to make the payment for the application to the designated branches of the State Bank of India during the working hours by August 18, 2017. The candidates need to make sure that the challan is generated before 5 PM August 14.

The notification which was released, also said that the candidates will need to have a attained graduate degree or a diploma, in a three year duration after their 10+2 board examinations.

The commission informed that in the matter of question papers the candidates will also have an option to choose from any one of the three - Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology and Electronics and Telecommunications.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC IMT Recruitment 2017

  • The candidates must be 30 or below the age of 30 as of August 8, 2107.
  • The candidates also require to have a bachelors degree in science( with physics as one of the subject), in computer science, in information technology or in computer applications.
  • The Candidates who have a diplomas in electronics and telecommunication engineering from a recognized institution can also apply for the post.

Details About the Examination for SSC IMT Recruitment 2017

The examination will be bifurcated into two, with a weightage of 200 marks. The candidates will be required to attend 200 questions in the given duration of two hours and must avoid getting incorrect answers, as there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

General Intelligence and reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English language and comprehension and general awareness will be part of the Part I of the paper which will carry 100 marks.

Physics, computer science, information technology, electronics and telecommunication engineering will be included in Part II for 100 marks.
