The registration process for the Junior Engineer (JE) Exam 2024 commenced on March 28 by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Eligible candidates interested in applying can submit their applications on the official website.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 968 Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) positions. The deadline for application submission is April 18, with fee payment accepted until April 19.
The window for application corrections is scheduled to open on April 22 and close on April 23. Tentatively, Paper I examination is set to be conducted between June 4 and June 6, while the dates for Paper II are yet to be announced.
The selection process involves a computer-based examination comprising two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Both papers consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions available in Hindi and English. Paper-I incurs a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, while Paper-II deducts one (01) mark for each incorrect response.

The application fee is ₹100/-. However, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee. Payment of the fee is accepted only through online modes, including BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
