The Central recruitment agency, Staff Selection Commission, has released the recruitment notification for the post of Junior Engineers (JE). The Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) notification was released to fill up vacancies in various Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India.
Interested candidates can visit the official website of SSC to apply online for Junior Engineers (JE). The posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted) and selected can earn between INR 35400 and INR 112400 per month (pay matrix of 7th Pay Commission). The diploma or equivalent in engineering is required to apply. The last date to apply online is February 25, 2019.

Note: Age relaxation is provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories. 5 years is provided to SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Application Fee
Applicant must pay INR 100 through online. Women and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PWD and Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of the fee. The online fee can be paid till February 27, 2019.
How To Apply
In order to apply online for SSC Junior Engineers, the online application process consists of two parts. The first part is one-time registration. The second part is filling of online application for the examination. Candidates need to visit the official website of SSC (www.ssc.nic.in) to fill the online application.
Selection Process
The Commission shortlist the candidates based on the written examination. It consists of two papers i.e. Paper-I (computer-based examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive type). The Paper-I exam will be conducted on September 23 to 27, 2019. The descriptive type exam will be held on December 29, 2019. The final selection will be made based on the marks obtained in both the papers.
