SSC Constable GD Exam: In a groundbreaking move, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given the green light to conduct the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) constable (General Duty) exam in 13 regional languages, in addition to Hindi and English.

This decision was made to encourage local youth participation in the CAPF and promote the use and development of regional languages. The upcoming SSC Constable GD exams will be held in languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and Marathi, among others, starting January 1, 2024.
The move is expected to increase the number of aspirants taking part in the examination and improve their selection prospects. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Staff Selection Commission will sign an addendum to the existing MoU to facilitate the conduct of the examination in multiple Indian languages.
States/UT governments are also expected to launch a wide campaign to encourage local youth to use this opportunity of taking the examination in their mother tongue and participate in huge numbers to make a career serving the country.
