SSC CGL 2026 Exam City Details Released for Tier-I Test

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam city and examination date details for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2026 Tier-I. Candidates can now log in to the designated module on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, to check the city and date allotted for their examination.

The latest update specifically concerns Tier-I, although some reports have incorrectly referred to it as Tier-II.

SSC CGL 2026 Exam City and Date Details

The candidate must provide or map the scribe's registration number to generate the Scribe Entry Pass. The maximum age of the scribe must comply with the updated SSC policy dated November 4, 2025.

SSC CGL 2026 Scribe Mapping Deadline

Candidates using their own scribe must complete the scribe mapping process by September 24, 2026, up to 11 PM. Entry passes will be generated only for candidates who successfully complete the required mapping within the prescribed deadline.

Candidates should carefully verify the scribe information before final submission. Any issue in registration or mapping should be addressed through the official SSC process at the earliest.

SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Pattern 2026

The Tier-I paper consists of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying 200 marks. The examination has four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section contains 25 questions carrying 50 marks. SSC's examination scheme also specifies 0.50-mark negative marking for every incorrect answer.
