South Eastern Railway: Apply Online For 1,778 Apprentices Post Before February 3

The Indian Railways, through RRC South Eastern Railway, Kolkata, has called for online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 1,778 Apprentice vacancies in multiple trades comprising Fitter, Turner, Welder (G&E), Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (DSL), Machinist, Painter (General), Refrigeration and AC Mechanic, Carpenter, Cable Jointer/Crane Operator, Winder (Armature) , Lineman, Trimmer, MMTM (Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance), Forger and Heat Treater through direct recruitment to be posted in various sections/regions. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on January 4, 2020 and closes on February 3, 2020 by 5:00 pm.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Apprentices post through South Eastern Railway must have attained 15 years of age as on January 1, 2020 and not have exceeded 24 years of age (Gen/UR), 27 years (OBC) and 29 years (SC/ST) respectively as specified in the notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 as application processing fee through online (debit card/credit card/net-banking) mode only. SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates, however, are exempted from paying the application fee.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Candidates applying for Apprentices post through South Eastern Railway must have passed Class 10/Matriculation in 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) with an ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognised Board/Institute as specified in the notification.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates to Apprentices post through South Eastern Railway will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in their Matriculation as well as ITI examination in the concerned trade.

Candidates selected as Apprentices through South Eastern Railway will be paid a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship norms.
