Somanath Gowdar leads visually challenged on the path of light

Bangalore, May 8: Nothing in the world can stop you if you are truly service-oriented, and it is not mandatory that you should hold a high profile (as politician, IAS officers or a media person) in the society to extend helping hand to the needy.

A spark or passion in your heart is more than enough to prove yourself. Hats off to Somanath Gowdar, who is into social service for the past one and half years.

 Leading visually challenged on the path of light

Somanath Gowdar, hails from Sidlaghatta Taluk, Chikkaballapur District is associated with 'Youth For' an NGO, and serving visually challenged students under the guidance of 'Youth For'.

So far, Somanath has written over 10 exams for visually challenged students says that " Writing exams for visually challenged students is unlike regular way of writing the exam. Here students dictates the answers and that should be put in words within the time frame. It also requires for the writer to have a basic idea on the topic he is writing"

Somanath, working for oneindia.in, has sacrificed professional leaves in order to write the exams. Recently he has written psychology exam on be half of Basavaraj,( visually challenged student) held at M S Ramaiah college and is all set to write two more exams for the year.

Feeling content with his service Somanath says that " I am happy for Basavaraj who had good preparation for the exam and will be more glad if he gets through the exam successfully".
