SMC Recruitment 2019: Apply Offline For 555 AEs, Supervisors And Other Posts Before June 21

The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), under Govt. of Gujarat, has invited applications in a prescribed format from eligible and interested candidates for filling 555 vacancies to the post of Assistant Engineers (Civil/Electronics), Dean, Dy. Chief Fire Officers, Dy. Engineers (Civil), Assistant Accountants, Inspectors, Supervisors (Civil), Sub-Officers (Civil), Swimming Instructors, Laboratory Technicians, Planning Assistants, Wireless Officers, Horticulture Supervisors, Telecom Operators, Electrics Wireman, Horticulture Assistants, Clerk-cum-Compounding Assistants, Marshal Leader (Male) and Clerk Class III (Audit) posts through direct recruitment. The offline application process towards the same starts from June 01, 2019 and closes on June 21, 2019.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates applying for AE, Supervisor and other posts through SMC Recruitment 2019 must meet the age criteria as per SMC norms, with relaxation in the upper age limit to reserved candidates as per the set guidelines.

Candidates must pay a specified amount of Rs. 100 (Gen/OBC) as application processing fee in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of "Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation" payable at Gujarat.

Educational Criteria And Experience

Candidates applying for AE, Supervisor and other posts through SMC Recruitment 2019 must have passed SSC/Class 10 or equivalent; HSC/Class 12 or equivalent; ITI in relevant trade; B.E/B.Tech/Diploma (Civil/Electronics/Electronics and Communications); M.Sc/B.Sc (Chemistry/Microbiology/Organic Chemistry/Horticulture/Agriculture); Graduation (Commerce); Bachelors/PG Degree from a recognized University/Institute with desirable work experience in relevant domain as detailed in the notification.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as AE, Supervisor and other posts through SMC Recruitment 2019 will be done through Shortlisting, Written Test/Trade Test/Group Discussion (as applicable), Personal Interview and Document Verification.

Candidates selected as AE, Supervisor and other posts will be paid an emolument in the range of Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month as per the designation.

Candidates applying for AE, Supervisor and other posts through SMC Recruitment 2019 must send their applications in a prescribed format, as specified in the notification, in a closed envelope superscribed as "Application For the Post Of____________________" with attested copies of relevant supporting documents to, "The Office of the Superintendent, (Central Kairi), Room No. 75, First Floor, Surat Municipal Corporation, Mughalisara, Surat," on or before June 21, 2019 through a proper channel.
