Selection Process

The recruitment journey kicked off with the Physical Standard Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), which began on October 3, 2024, for most positions and on November 25, 2024, for Constable roles in the Assam Commando Battalion. These tests played a key role in filtering candidates before the written examination.

Physical Tests

  • Physical Standard Test (PST) - While this test does not carry marks, it is essential for assessing candidates' height, weight, and chest measurements. Only those meeting the required standards moved forward.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - This test was worth 40 marks and evaluated candidates through a race and a long jump, both monitored using CCTV and RFID technology to ensure fairness and accuracy.

After clearing these physical assessments, candidates faced the written examination, marking the final step in their selection journey.

Expected Cut-Off Marks: How Did You Perform?

Although the official cut-off marks will be announced with the results, previous trends give an idea of what candidates might expect:

  • General (UR) Candidates - 24 to 30 marks
  • OBC/MOBC Candidates - 23 to 26 marks
  • SC/ST Candidates - 20 to 24 marks

These cut-offs serve as a benchmark to gauge where you stand, but final selection will depend on the official list.

What's Next?

The Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) follows a strict merit-based selection process. Candidates who clear the written exam will move on to the next stage, which may include medical examinations and final document verification.

With the result date approaching, candidates should stay updated and prepare for the next steps in their law enforcement career.
