Shri Tulsi Tanti Scholarship Aims To Support Girls In Engineering Education

The Suzlon Group introduces the Shri Tulsi Tanti Scholarship for 2024-25, aimed at supporting economically disadvantaged girls in India. With financial aid ranging from INR 6,000 to INR 1,20,000, this initiative promotes education and inclusion, particularly in engineering fields.

In an effort to foster the higher education of economically disadvantaged girl students, the Suzlon Group has launched the Shri Tulsi Tanti Scholarship Program for the academic year 2024-25. This initiative aims to promote equitable opportunities for India's talented young minds, ensuring they have access to the education they deserve.

Suzlon Group Launches Scholarship For Girls 2024-25

Targeted at girl students who are currently in Class 9 or those who have embarked on their first year in B.E./B.Tech. degree programs or a Diploma in Engineering, this scholarship seeks to ease the financial burdens that often hinder academic progress. The eligibility criteria are set with inclusivity in mind, allowing girls from across several Indian states, including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Daman, and Puducherry, to apply. A crucial condition is that the applicant's family income must not exceed INR 6 lakh annually from all sources.

Financial Support and Reward Structure

The scholarship program is structured to provide significant financial support. Girls in Class 9 are eligible for INR 6,000 per year, ensuring they can continue their studies into Class 10 without financial strain. For those pursuing a Diploma in Engineering, the award is considerably higher, at INR 60,000 per year. The most substantial support comes for students in B.E./B.Tech. Degree programs, who will receive INR 1,20,000 annually. This tiered structure reflects the varying costs associated with different levels of education and aims to cover a substantial part of the educational expenses.

Eligible students must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12, a requirement that underscores the program's emphasis on academic excellence. This criterion ensures that the scholarship benefits are directed towards students who are not only in need of financial assistance but are also committed to their academic pursuits.

The application process for the Shri Tulsi Tanti Scholarship Program is entirely online, making it accessible to eligible students across the identified states. The deadline for applications is set for the 10th of December, 2024, urging prospective candidates to act promptly. This scholarship program is a testament to the Suzlon Group's commitment to contributing to the community by supporting the education of girl students from economically weaker sections. By investing in the education of young women, the initiative not only aids in alleviating financial barriers but also encourages the participation of more girls in engineering and technical fields, paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse workforce in the future.
