According to an order issued by the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday, schools for classes 9 to 12 will resume from August 16, albeit with a 50% attendance. "On August 15, students from high schools (classes 9 and 10) and intermediate schools (classes 11 and 12) will take part in the 75th Independence Day festivities. On August 16, teaching and learning would begin in schools with half-capacity, in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol," said Navneet Sehgal, the Additional Chief Secretary for Information.
In light of the controlled situation of the coronavirus in the state, the chief minister has asked officials to begin preparations for the start of the new session of all educational institutes, according to a UP government statement.
According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the results of Class 10 and 12 boards have been announced, and admission to undergraduate programmes will begin on August 5. Sanitizer, infrared thermometers, and masks must be provided at educational institutions, while social distancing and the COVID-19 protocol must be followed.
With the reopening of educational institutions, special vaccination camps will be organised for students above the age of 18 years. He believes that the health department should make all necessary preparations in this regard.
