As per recent updates, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cyclone warning in the state of Tamil Nadu. The incessant rainfall has led to the closing down of schools on 30th November in Chennai, and the city has been put on high alert. A complete forecast has been provided by the IMD to alert and prepare the residents for the upcoming weather conditions.

The warning has been issued in response to the heavy rainfall the state has been experiencing over the past few days. Schools in Chennai have been closed for the safety of students and staff. The IMD has asked people residing in the affected areas to stay indoors and take necessary precautions. The department has also issued a full forecast of the expected weather conditions in the following days.
Intermittent severe rains in the state caused flooding in various areas of Chennai, as well as heavy traffic congestion. Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Peerkankaranai, and Perungalathur Chengelpet are among the worst-affected districts. According to Meteorological Department officials, significant rain fell on Wednesday in Chennai and neighbouring districts in northern coastal Tamil Nadu, ranging from 5 cm to 6 cm and even higher in some parts.
