In Telangana, schools are scheduled to reopen on June 15, and the state government has initiated preparations for the new academic year. Educational institutions are making arrangements to welcome students back after the summer break. Meanwhile, neighboring Andhra Pradesh has already reopened schools from June 12. Academic activities have resumed across nearly 45,000 government schools and 44,000 private schools in the state, marking the beginning of a new school session.

Several northern states have opted for a delayed reopening due to intense heatwave conditions. In Uttar Pradesh, schools are expected to reopen on June 16 after the completion of summer vacations. Similarly, schools in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are also scheduled to resume classes from June 16. Officials have indicated that necessary measures are being taken to ensure a safe learning environment for students returning to campus.

The situation is different in the national capital and neighboring states. Schools in Delhi will reopen on July 1, following an extended summer break. Educational institutions in Haryana and Punjab are also set to resume classes on July 1. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the prevailing weather conditions and the well-being of students.

In eastern and western India, authorities have announced separate reopening schedules. The Bihar Education Department has clarified that schools across the state will reopen on June 21. Rajasthan has also decided to resume classes from June 21, extending the vacation period in view of high temperatures in several districts.

Meanwhile, uncertainty remains in Jammu and Kashmir, where the government has not yet announced a final decision regarding school reopening dates. Reports suggest that authorities are closely monitoring weather conditions and other factors before issuing fresh guidelines for educational institutions.

Several southern states have already commenced the new academic year. Schools in Tamil Nadu reopened on June 4, while Karnataka and Kerala resumed classes on June 1. Students in these states have already begun attending regular classes, with schools focusing on orientation programs, textbook distribution, and academic planning for the year ahead.

The varying reopening schedules across states highlight the challenges posed by seasonal weather conditions. State governments continue to monitor local circumstances and make decisions that balance educational continuity with student health and safety. Parents, students, and educators are advised to stay updated through official notifications from their respective state education departments regarding any changes in school reopening schedules.
