The State Bank of India (SBI) has unveiled an exciting recruitment opportunity for 1,194 Concurrent Auditor positions, opening doors for retired officers from SBI and its erstwhile Associate Banks (e-ABs) to rejoin the workforce on a contractual basis. The recruitment, which was announced on 18 February 2025, aims to appoint skilled professionals under the Circle Administrative Offices (CAOs) to enhance the bank's audit and operational standards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Retired officers from SBI or its e-ABs, particularly those with expertise in credit, audit, or forex.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be under 65 years of age as of 18 February 2025 and should have retired at the superannuation age of 60.

Salary Details

Pay Scale is from ₹45,000 to ₹65,000 per month, based on the grade from which the officer has retired.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Concurrent Auditor positions is rigorous and straightforward:

  • Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and work experience.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, which is the deciding factor in the recruitment process. The interview carries 100 marks, and only those who meet the minimum qualifying marks will be considered for the final selection.
  • Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the interview scores, ensuring that the most qualified individuals are selected.

In case of a tie in scores, candidates will be ranked based on age, with preference given to older applicants.
