SBI Postpones Dates for Special Officer Exam: Check the New Dates Now!

The mode of the exam will be online for recruiting candidates to the post of Specialist Officer

The exam dates for the SBI SO (Specialist Officer) has been postponed to January 20. exam which was scheduled to be conducted on November 25 will now be held on January 20.

The admit cards for this exam has been released by the bank. Those who have registered for the same can download their respective letters from the official website of SBI.

The mode of the exam will be online for recruiting candidates to the post of Specialist Officer. The postponment has taken place because the earlier scheduled date was clashing with UGC NET exam and hence the date had to be deferred further.

Steps to download the admit card for the SBI SO Officer Exam

  • Go to the SBI official website www.sbi.co
  • Click on 'SBI SO Exam 2017: Call Letter' link
  • A log in form appears. In the provided space, enter your registration number/roll number, password/date of birth and image captcha
  • Click on Login
  • Download the call letter and take a printout for future reference

Selection Process

The candidates who qualify in the online examination will then be called for an interview.

  • Reasoning
  • Quantitative Aptitude

About Specialist Officer

Specialist Officers (SO) are recruited periodically to man individual special posts in various departments like IT Officer, Field Officer, Law Officer, HR/Personnel or Management Officer, Marketing Officer, Sales Officer etc in government and private banks across the country. The candidates opting for these posts must have Graduate and Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in relevant filed along with certain experience in the relevant field. IBPS conducts Common Written Examination for selection of Specialist Officers. In the recent years, the level of competition for bank exams has spurt exponentially. Graduates from any field of study can attempt this exam.
