Under this recruitment drive, candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State or Union Territory (UT). They will also be permitted to appear for the recruitment examination only once.

SBI Clerk 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for Junior Associate posts will comprise three stages:

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates who qualify for the preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the Main Examination. Those meeting the prescribed requirements in the subsequent stages will be considered for appointment, subject to fulfilment of all eligibility conditions.

The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, while the Main Examination is expected to take place in October or November 2026.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for SBI Clerk 2026 must fulfil the prescribed age requirements as on April 1, 2026.

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years
• Candidates must have been born between April 2, 1998, and April 1, 2006, both dates inclusive.

Age relaxation will be provided to eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories according to the rules and guidelines prescribed by SBI.

Local Language Requirement
