The State Bank of India (SBI) has postponed the Clerk Preliminary exam in four cities due to some unavoidable circumstances. The Bank has postponed the Junior Associates Prelims exam 2021 in Shillong, Agartala, Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Nashik. Aspirants of these districts are advised to keep visiting the official portal for revised exam dates. SBI has announced that candidates who have been assigned exam centers in four cities have been notified by email and SMS. Earlier, the bank has announced that the SBI Clerk Prelims exam will be held across the country as scheduled from July 10 to 13, 2021.

The official notice reads, "Due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the Preliminary Examination for the post of Junior Associates scheduled to be held at Shillong, Agartala, Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Nashik Centres from 10.07.2021 to 13.07.2021 has been deferred. The revised date of the examination for these centres will be notified later on."

It also reads, "The candidates, who have been allotted Shillong, Agartala, Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Nashik Centres for Preliminary Examination have been intimated by mail and SMS in their registered email id/ mobile number in this regard."

Earlier, the exam authority has released the SBI Clerk Prelims admit card 2021 for the online screening exam. Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam. The final selection will be based on the Mains exam result and language test.
