Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) launched its 'Samsung Innovation Campus' initiative at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The program aims to enhance the skills of young individuals in emerging technology fields like Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, preparing them for employment opportunities.

In a statement, it was announced that SSIR has initiated the 'Samsung Innovation Campus' program at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), underscoring Samsung's dedication to the government's Skill India initiative and its vision for advancing digital India.
"The collaboration between SSIR and VTU serves as a pilot project aimed at providing students with expertise in state-of-the-art technologies, thus fostering the expansion of the technology landscape in Karnataka," the statement added.
Led by experts with access to Samsung Innovation Campus content in AI and IoT, this initiative prioritizes instructor-led training for undergraduate students pursuing BE and B.Tech degrees. The program aims to cultivate a high-quality, industry-relevant skill set among the nation's youth.
By integrating technology, foundational software skills, and technical expertise, the program aims to empower participants to develop into well-rounded professionals. Moreover, beyond technical competency enhancement, students will receive guidance throughout the entire ideation process, problem-solving methodologies, and mentorship from experts to address identified problem statements while engaging in state-level hackathons. Notably, outstanding ideas demonstrating potential for Deep Tech products will encourage entrepreneurship among the innovators of tomorrow.
