SAIL Careers: Apply Online For 296 Operator-Cum-Technician, Attendant-Cum-Technician And Other Posts

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a 'Maharatna' Central PSU, through its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh, has invited online applications from qualified and interested candidates for filling 296 vacancies to post Operator-cum-Technician or OCT (Trainee-123), Attendant-cum-Technician or ACT (Trainee/Boiler Operator-53), Mining Foreman (14), Mining Mate (30), Surveyor (04), Jr. Staff Nurse (Trainee-21), Pharmacist (Trainee-07), Sub-Fire Station Officer (Trainee male-08) and Fireman-cum-Fire Engine Driver (Trainee- male 36) through direct recruitment. The application process towards the same starts from October 26, 2019 and closes on November 15, 2019.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for OCT, ACT, and other posts through SAIL Careers must have attained 18 years of age and not be more than 28 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 3 years (OBC-NCL) and 5 years (SC/ST) respectively as specified in the notification.

Candidates (General/OBC/EWS) must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 250 (for all posts) and Rs. 150 for Attendant-cum-Technician, Fireman-cum-Fire Engine Driver and Mining Mate posts as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit) mode only. However, SC/ST/PWD/ESM and Departmental candidates are exempted from paying the application fees.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Desirous candidates applying for OCT, ACT, and other posts through SAIL Careers must have passed Matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent with Diploma (three years) in relevant engineering discipline; Matriculation/Class 10 or equivalent with ITI in relevant trade; Graduation; B.Sc. (Nursing); Degree in Pharmacy from a recognised University/Institution as detailed in the notification given at the end of the article.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates OCT, ACT, and other posts through SAIL Careers will be done through an Online Test, Skill Test/Physical Ability Test (PAT) and Driving Test as specified in the notification.

Candidates selected for OCT, ACT, and other posts through SAIL Careers will be paid emolument in range of Rs. 15,830 to Rs. 16,800 per month.
