Sahitya Akademi Recruitment 2017: Apply for Editor and Other Posts!

Sahitya Akademi has announced the recruitment notification for the candidates who want to apply for the Editor, Deputy Secretary, and Regional Secretary posts. The interested candidates can apply for the posts on or before December 03, 2017.

Eligibility for Sahitya Akademi Recruitment 2017

Editor (English)

• The candidates are required to have a post-graduate degree in English Literature from a recognized institute. The candidate must be a person of proven literary ability.
• The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Indian Literature and must have a good network amongst the literary community.
• They should have at least five years of experience in editing literary journals and publications in English.
• They should have knowledge of basic computer application.

Deputy Secretary (sales)

• The candidate must have a post-graduate degree in a language which is recognized by the Akademi from a recognized institute or its equivalent.
• They must have a diploma in Sale Management and have general knowledge of Indian Literary and contacts with booksellers, distributors, and agencies.

Regional Secretary

• The candidate must have a post-graduate degree in a language which is recognized by the Akademi from a recognized institute or its equivalent.
• The candidate must have General Knowledge of Indian Literature and good network among the literary community
• They need to have 5 years of experience in the area of the job and must be able to organize literary and publications programmed and process documents and minutes.
• They must possess knowledge related to literature of various regions.
• Must have experience in office administration and have knowledge related to Government rules, procedure and accounts.

Age Limit

• The age limit for the posts is maximum of 50 years.
• Candidates need to check the Govt. rules for Age relaxation.

Pay Scale for Sahitya Akademi Recruitment 2017

The pay scale for all the three posts is notified as Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39, 100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6600
