Sachin Pilot lays foundation stone for Centre of Excellence, Ajmer

The Centre of Excellence is jointly promoted by the three Professional Institutes viz, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (IcoAI).

While congratulating the three institutes on this initiative, Shri Sachin Pilot said that the Centre of Excellence will focus on Training programmes, Professional Development activities, Investor Protection activities etc. for professionals and will be a single point of convergence and knowledge hub for researchers, students , professionals and academicians.

"I believe you will now jointly build a centre of excellence at national level which will be pride of Ajmer. For me Ajmer is a holy and lucky place in addition to its historic and religious sanctity. That is why I felt it will be a good place for Centre of Excellence and I trust it will be the best centre of the country in years to come", the Minister opined.

The foundation stone for Centre of Excellence, Ajmer was laid in the presence of CA Subodh Kr. Agrawal, President ICAI, CS S. N. Ananthasubramanian, President ICSI and CMA Suresh Chandra Mohanty, President IcoAI.

The Centre of Excellence will focus at:

Creating a Knowledge hub
Organising of programmes aimed at capacity building through financial literacy and accounting education for the benefit of local population
Student Activities
Members Activities
Professional Development Activities
Workshops and Seminars
Conducting Research and outreach programmes on Investors Education and Protection, Corporate Governance and the best practices globally followed in the areas of Accounting, Cost Management, Corporate Governance etc.,
Other activities in furtherance of the professions of the "Professional Institutes".
