The Southern Railway's Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC SR) has initiated the recruitment process for the year 2024, aiming to fill a total of 2860 apprentice vacancies across various trades and disciplines.

The application window became operational on January 29, 2024, and candidates with an interest in applying can do so until February 28, 2024. Applications are submitted online.

The Southern Railway has issued the notification for the recruitment of 2860 apprentices for the year 2024. The online application process for RRC SR Apprentices Trade Recruitment 2024 has commenced.   • Submit the required fee corresponding to the candidate's category.

Age Criteria

For applicants in the fresher category, the minimum age requirement is 15 years, and for those in the ex-ITI category, candidates should not exceed 22/24 years. The age is calculated based on the notification date, which is January 29, 2024.

Educational Qualification

For Fresher Post:
Candidates applying for Fitter & Welder (Gas & Electric) positions should have completed the 12th grade and passed the 10th class with a minimum of 50% marks. Alternatively, candidates for the MLT position must have completed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 12th grade under the 10+2 educational system, with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
For Ex-ITI Post:
Candidates must have successfully completed an ITI course in a relevant trade approved by NCVT or SCVT and should have passed the 10th class under the 10+2 educational system with at least 50% marks.
