Age limit

Minimum age limit: 18 years
Maximum age limit for Technician Grade 1 Signal Posts: 18 to 36 years
Maximum age limit for Technician Grade 3 posts: 18 to 33 years There are provisions for age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Selection process

Computer Based Test (CBT): The initial stage involves a Computer Based Test conducted at various examination centers designated by RRB. The paper consists of 100 questions with one mark awarded for each correct answer. Candidates should note that there will be a deduction of 1/3rd mark for each incorrect response.
Document Verification: The second stage involves document verification, where all original documents of the applicants are thoroughly scrutinized to ensure eligibility and authenticity.
Medical Examination: The final stage of the recruitment process is the Medical Examination. Candidates selected in the document verification stage are summoned for a medical examination conducted by the Railway Board.
