The Ministry of Railways has officially released a notice outlining the tentative schedule for RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT-1 2026 under CEN 07/2025. The Computer Based Test (CBT-1) for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate) will be conducted across multiple phases in May and June 2026.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Exam Date 2026 Out
The exam will be held at centres across India by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). Candidates who have applied under CEN 07/2025 must check their exam city and date through the official link that will be activated 10 days before their respective exam dates.

RRB NTPC UG 2026: CBT-1 Exam Dates
The CBT-1 exam will be conducted in two phases across May and June 2026:
- Phase 1: May 7, 8 and 9, 2026
- Phase 2: June 13, 14 and June 16 to 21, 2026
RRB NTPC UG 2026 - Exam Pattern
The CBT-1 is the first stage of the RRB NTPC UG recruitment process. It is a screening test - marks scored in CBT-1 are used only for shortlisting candidates for CBT-2 and are not counted in the final merit list.

How to Check RRB NTPC UG Exam City and Date 2026?
The exam city and date intimation link will be activated 10 days before each candidate's respective exam date. Here is how to check:
1. Visit your regional RRB official website (e.g., rrbcdg.gov.in, rrbchennai.gov.in, etc.)
2. Click on the "Exam City and Date Intimation" link under CEN 07/2025
3. Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth
4. Click Submit to view your allotted exam city and date
Note down the details and start planning your travel arrangements accordingly
The exam city and date intimation is not the admit card. The admit card / call letter will be released separately, closer to the exam date.
How to Download RRB NTPC UG Admit Card 2026?
1. Visit the official RRB website relevant to your applied region
2. Click on the Admit Card / Call Letter link for CEN 07/2025 CBT-1
3. Enter your registration number and date of birth
4. Download and print your admit card
5. Carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre
Without a valid admit card, entry to the exam centre will not be permitted under any circumstances.
RRB NTPC UG 2026: Selection Process
The complete selection process for RRB NTPC Under Graduate posts involves the following stages:
Stage 1 - CBT-1 (Computer Based Test)
- Screening stage. All eligible candidates appear. Shortlisted candidates proceed to CBT-2.
Stage 2 - CBT-2 (Computer Based Test)
- Post-specific detailed exam. Marks from CBT-2 are used for final merit.
Stage 3 - Typing Skill Test / Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Applicable only for specific posts such as Station Master and Trains Clerk.
Stage 4 - Document Verification
- Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents for verification.
Stage 5 - Medical Examination
- Candidates must pass the Railway medical fitness standards before final appointment.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board
- For some posts, a graduation degree may be required - check CEN 07/2025 for post-wise details
Age Limit (as per CEN 07/2025)
Most UG Posts - 18 Years of minimum age & 30-33 years of maximum age
Age relaxation applicable:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC / ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per norms
Important Instructions for CBT-1
Carry your admit card and one valid original photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID) to the exam centre
- Report at least 60 minutes before the exam start time
- Mobile phones, calculators, and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall
- Rough work must be done only on the sheet provided inside the hall - no external paper allowed
- Candidates must follow the COVID / hygiene norms if applicable at the exam centre

Candidates who clear CBT-1 cutoff will be shortlisted for CBT-2
