RRB NTPC Exams Will Be Held From December 15: Railway Minister

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has announced the RRB NTPC exam dates 2020. Minister has shared the announcement of RRB Chairman Vinod Dua on his official twitter handle. As per the official sources, RRB is likely to kick-start the recruitment tests for three categories from December 15, 2020, onwards.

Earlier, RRB has released the recruitment notifications for NTPC, Isolated & Ministerial categories and Level 1 vacancies. The registration process was closed and more than 2.3 crore applications were received for a total of 1,40,640 vacancies. The Board will start the first stage of Computer Based Test (CBT) from December 15 for all three categories - NTPC, Group D and others. Piyush Goyal tweeted, "Examination of the recruitment process applications for all 3 categories of various posts in Railways has been completed, the examinations will be started from December 15 for recruitment to various posts."

Earlier, the RRB has postponed the exams of NTPC and Group D exams scheduled in March/ April due to nation-wide lockdown to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic. The application process of scrutiny had been completed but the process of CBT examination had got delayed due to COVID. The Railway Board has decided to go ahead with recruitment exams after assessing the ground situation. RRB has assured that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) to conduct the examination will be followed in the interest of safety.

RRB NTPC Exam Date 2020

The RRB NTPC CBT 1st stage exam will be conducted from December 15, 2020, onwards. Over 1.26 crore applications were received for a total of 35,208 RRB NTPC vacancies. The written exam consists of 100 questions. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
