How to Apply for RRB JE Recruitment 2024?

Educational Qualifications

Junior Engineer (JE): A Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines from a recognized university or institution is required.
Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): A Diploma or Degree in Engineering from any discipline is required.
Junior Engineer (Information Technology): Candidates need a PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech (IT)/B.Tech (Computer Science)/DOEACC B level course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: A Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institution is required.

Selection Process

The selection process for JE and other posts in Indian Railways includes three stages:

CBT-1, CBT-2, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

CBT-1

Timing: Expected to be administered by the last quarter of 2024.
Format: 100 objective-type questions, each worth 1 mark, with a negative marking of ⅓ mark per incorrect answer. The exam duration is 90 minutes, and it will be conducted in English and Hindi.

CBT-2

Timing: Scheduled two to three months after CBT-1, likely in the first quarter of 2025.
Format: 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark, with a negative marking of ⅓ mark per incorrect answer. The exam duration is 120 minutes, and the exam will be conducted in English and Hindi.

Document Verification & Medical Examination

Process: Candidates who clear CBT-2 will be called for Document Verification and Medical Examination.
