How to Apply for RRB JE Recruitment 2024?
The upcoming RRB JE Recruitment 2024 is expected to attract over 10 lakh applicants. Although the online application process has not started yet, the official notification will provide detailed instructions on how to apply.

Educational Qualifications
- Junior Engineer (JE): A Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines from a recognized university or institution is required.
- Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): A Diploma or Degree in Engineering from any discipline is required.
- Junior Engineer (Information Technology): Candidates need a PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech (IT)/B.Tech (Computer Science)/DOEACC B level course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
- Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: A Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institution is required.
Selection Process
The selection process for JE and other posts in Indian Railways includes three stages:
CBT-1, CBT-2, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
CBT-1
- Timing: Expected to be administered by the last quarter of 2024.
- Format: 100 objective-type questions, each worth 1 mark, with a negative marking of ⅓ mark per incorrect answer. The exam duration is 90 minutes, and it will be conducted in English and Hindi.
CBT-2
- Timing: Scheduled two to three months after CBT-1, likely in the first quarter of 2025.
- Format: 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark, with a negative marking of ⅓ mark per incorrect answer. The exam duration is 120 minutes, and the exam will be conducted in English and Hindi.
Document Verification & Medical Examination
- Process: Candidates who clear CBT-2 will be called for Document Verification and Medical Examination.
