The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have officially announced the CBT-I examination dates for RRB JE CEN 05/2025 recruitment. As per the latest notification, the Computer Based Test (CBT-I) will be conducted for 2,570 notified vacancies across multiple sessions and days in February and March 2026.

RRB JE CEN 05/2025 CBT-I Exam Dates Released

Candidates who successfully registered under CEN 05/2025 will appear for the first stage CBT on February 19, 2026, February 20, 2026, and March 03, 2026. The examination will be held in multiple shifts across various exam centres nationwide to accommodate the large number of applicants.

Posts Covered Under RRB JE CEN 05/2025

The recruitment drive aims to fill technical and supervisory positions in Indian Railways. The posts included under this notification are:

Junior Engineer (JE)
Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)
Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)

These roles are crucial for the operation, maintenance, and material management of railway infrastructure and services.

RRB JE CBT-I Exam Pattern

The CBT-I is a screening test, and marks obtained in this stage will be used for shortlisting candidates for CBT-II. The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering the following sections:

Mathematics
General Intelligence & Reasoning
General Awareness
General Science

The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes, and negative marking will apply for incorrect answers as per RRB norms

Admit Card and City Intimation Slip

RRBs will release the City Intimation Slip approximately 10 days before the exam date, allowing candidates to check their allotted exam city and date. The RRB JE CBT-I Admit Card will be available for download 4 days prior to the examination on the respective regional RRB websites.

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card, along with a valid photo ID proof, to the examination centre.

Selection Process

The RRB JE CEN 05/2025 selection process includes the following stages:

Only candidates qualifying CBT-I will be shortlisted for CBT-II.
