The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the Group D exam dates. The board has also confirmed that the computer-based test (CBT) for the RRB Group D posts is likely to start from the next month. According to the official sources, the admit card, exam city and shift details will be live 10 days prior to the start of the exam.
The RRB Group D exam is expected to begin from September 17, 2018. The board has mentioned in the official statement that the complete schedule for the exam will be announced soon. The recruitment notification for the Group D posts was released along with the notification for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP). Around 63,000 vacancies are available for RRB Group D posts.
RRB Group D Exam Pattern
The selection process of the RRB Group D posts consists of two stages. The computer-based test (CBT) is the first stage followed by a physical efficiency test (PET).
The questions in the Group D objective-type test will be on mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general science and general awareness. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. The exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Over 1.5 crore people have applied for the Group C & D posts in the Indian Railways. Currently, the Group C Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and Technicians' exams are taking place. The ALP exams will continue till September 4.
