RBI Recruitment For Junior Engineers (JE): 24 Vacancies In Civil And Electrical Trades

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India's central bank has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals for filling 24 vacancies to the post of Junior Engineers (JE) in the Civil and Electrical trades/disciplines at its end from 07 January 2019, with 27 January 2019 as the last date for submission of all entries and fee payment.

Candidates will be recruited under various Zones of RBI as notified based on their performance in an online exam to held in February 2019.

Age Criteria And Application Fee

Desirous candidates seeking application to the post of Junior Engineers (JE) in Civil and Electrical fields/trades must have attained 20 years of age as on 1 January 2019 and not exceeded 30 years, with an upper age limit of 35 years for SC/ST candidates and 33 years for OBC categories. A relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit is granted to PWD candidates (General), 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.

Students are required to pay a prescribed Fee of Rs. 450/- (Gen/OBC) and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST/PWD and Ex-servicemen towards the application process and examination.

Educational Credentials And Experience

Junior Engineer (Civil) - Candidates seeking application for this post must possess a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks (55% SC/ST/PWD) from a recognised University or Institute or Board, OR must possess a Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognised University/Institute; they should have at least 2 years of experience (Diploma holders) or 1 year (Degree holders) in supervision and execution of construction work (civil) and or maintenance of civil commercial buildings/office buildings/residential complexes and also be familiar with basic RCC design with working knowledge of computers, etc.

Junior Engineer (Electrical) - Candidates seeking application for this post must possess a 3-year Diploma in Electrical or Electronic and Electrical Engineering with at least 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognised University or Institute or Board, OR must possess a Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognised University/Institute; they should also have at least 2 years of experience (Diploma holders) or 1 year (Degree holders) in supervising and execution of electrical installations in commercial buildings/high-rise buildings/AC plants, UPS, lifts, fire alarm system, CCTV, etc.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as JE (Civil) and JE (Electrical) will be done based on a written online test for 300 marks and language proficiency test (LPT) as per the Zonal requirement.
The selected candidates will be paid emolument of Rs. 21,400/- per month with other allowances.
