Wyoming's Business College Appoints Indian American Putrevu as Dean

Houston, March 12: An Indian-American professor has been appointed as dean of the business college of the US University of Wyoming.

Sanjay Putrevu, professor of marketing and former associate dean of the School of Business at the University at Albany, State University of New York, will begin his new post at varsity from July 1.

Putrevu earned his masters degree in management studies from the from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, Rajasthan, India, in 1987.

He received his PhD in marketing from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, in 1992.

He has held faculty appointments at universities in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and France.

"Dr Putrevu was selected from an outstanding field of candidates and brings a wealth of experience and energy to this important leadership position at UW," says Vice President for Academic Affairs David Jones.

"The College of Business is a strong component of the university, and we're confident that the combined efforts of Dr Putrevu and the faculty members will lift the college to even greater levels of excellence."
