Punjab and Haryana High Court Peon Recruitment 2024: 300 Vacancies, apply now at highcourtchd.gov.in

The Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh is inviting applications for Peon positions, with a total of 300 vacancies available. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, highcourtchd.in. The application process started on August 25 and will close on September 20, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for Peon Recruitment

To be eligible, candidates must have completed at least middle school education but should not hold qualifications higher than 10+2 from a recognized board. Those with higher qualifications are not eligible to apply. Additionally, the age requirement is set between 18 and 35 years.

The 300 available positions are distributed across various categories as follows:

• General 243
• SC/ST/BC 30
• Ex-servicemen 15
• PWD 12

Selection Process

The selection process includes a written test followed by a physical endurance test. The written test comprises 50 multiple-choice questions, each worth two marks, covering general knowledge, awareness, current affairs, and numerical ability. There is no negative marking, and the exam duration is 90 minutes. The questions will be provided in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Candidates who successfully pass the written test will then proceed to the physical endurance test. This test includes an 800-meter race, long jump, and high jump, all of which are qualifying in nature.

Application Fee Details

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category:

• General and SC/ST/BC candidates from outside Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh: ₹700/-
• SC/ST/BC candidates from Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh: ₹600/-
• Ex-servicemen and Persons with Disabilities: ₹600/-

The fee must be paid online through the official website of the Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh.
