Prasar Bharati Recruitment: Apply Offline For Newsreader-Cum-Translator Posts Before November 4

Prasar Bharati, a public broadcasting agency under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has invited applications in a prescribed format from eligible and experienced candidates for filling vacancies to the post of Newsreader-cum-Translator (Sanskrit and Kashmiri) through direct recruitment to be posted in the News Services Division, All India Radio (AIR), New Delhi. The offline application process towards the same started on October 21, 2019 and closes on November 4, 2019.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for post of Newsreader-cum-Translator through Prasar Bharati Recruitment must have attained 21 years of age and not be more than 50 years as specified in the notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 300 (Gen) and Rs. 250 (SC/ST and OBC) respectively as application processing fee in the form of a Bank Draft (BD) drawn in favour of PB:DG(News), NSD, AIR, New Delhi.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Desirous candidates applying for the post of Newsreader-cum-Translator through Prasar Bharati Recruitment must be a Graduate from a recognised University/Institution with proficiency in the language to be empaneled or enrolled into and possess a quality voice suited for broadcasting.
Candidates must also have experience of journalistic work in Radio and possess knowledge of computer applications.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Newsreader-cum-Translator through Prasar Bharati Recruitment will be done through a Written Test, Voice Test and Interview.

Candidates selected as Newsreader-cum-Translator will be paid emolument as per the Prasar Bharati norms.

How To Apply

Candidates applying for the post of Newsreader-cum-Translator through Prasar Bharati Recruitment must fill the application in a prescribed format attached with the advertisement, and send the same along with relevant supporting documents through a proper channel to the, "Deputy Director (Administration), News Services Division, All India Radio, New Broadcasting House, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001," on or before November 4, 2019 through a proper channel.

The envelope containing the application form and other documents must be superscribed as, "Application for Newsreader-cum-Translator (Sanskrit) or Newsreader-cum-Translator (Kashmiri) in NSD, AIR to be engaged on casual assignment basis."
