Through a series of events, workshops, and outreach initiatives aimed at broadening technology's accessibility across all segments of society, the journey towards Pragyan '24 has been filled with activity. Once again, on February 22nd and 23rd, the students of NIT Trichy are poised to dazzle with their innovations and cultural performances.

Ingenium, a highly anticipated nationwide technical competition, has attracted participation from colleges across the country. This esteemed event provides young technocrats with a platform to showcase their creativity through innovative projects and inventions. This year's focus areas for Ingenium include healthcare, the environment, and defense technology. With the announcement of the initial round of selections, the competition is set to embark on an exciting journey towards its conclusion.

Educational Outreach and Social Responsibility

The Pragyan Blog and Podcast emerged as significant sources of knowledge, covering a wide array of topics from mathematical marvels to the science behind faith. Meanwhile, the Social Responsibility initiative, Bag Of Delights, focused on enhancing the learning environment for children in government schools, impacting hundreds of students.

Techids 2.0, an educational outreach program, introduced over 300 school students to the realm of technology and innovation through career guidance sessions and workshops, aiming to inspire the next generation of technologists.

Special Highlights and Workshops

A 32-hour hackathon, focusing on advanced domains like blockchain, environmental sustainability, and smart cities, was a testament to Pragyan's commitment to fostering innovation. The festival also celebrated ISRO's lunar mission achievements during its Space Week, featuring contributions from key mission figures.

INHOTTS, a series of workshops for first-year students, was presented in collaboration with the Technical Council, emphasizing hands-on learning in various technical fields and rewarding participants with incentives and cash prizes.

Diverse Events and Renowned Guests

Pragyan '24 featured its events under seven clusters, catering to a broad spectrum of interests including management, entrepreneurship, coding, robotics, gaming, puzzles, UI/UX challenges, and engineering innovations. The festival was graced by a series of guest lectures from notable personalities like Nobel Laureate Dr. Richard Robert and industry professionals, providing invaluable insights into various technological specializations.

The event also showcased the latest in robotics technology and entertained attendees with performances by Kashi Fire Crew, Light Crew, LED Poi, and Aerial Acts India, culminating in a musical performance by When Chai Meets Toast on the final day.
