Participation of women in India's workforce rose to 37% in FY'23: Pradhan

Women's labor-force participation grew to 37% in fiscal 2022-23, according to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Pradhan stated at the 'Rozgar Mela' that the figure was 23% in 2017-18.

''There has been balanced progress in society as women's participation in the workforce has increased,'' he added, saying that women are more hardworking than men. According to Pradhan, the Narendra Modi government's women-focused policies have helped increase female labor-force participation.
