Participate in Maritime R&D Collaboration: Invitation to Indian Startups

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, in collaboration with the National Institute for Research & Development in Defence Shipbuilding (NIRDESH), a society registered under the Ministry of Defence of India, is inviting eligible Indian startup firms to participate in R&D projects. These projects will be conducted by deploying their engineers at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) of NIRDESH, located within the premises of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd in Mumbai.

The goal of NIRDESH is to establish a national institute for R&D related to warships, submarines, commercial vessels, and other relevant platforms. This initiative aims to enhance indigenous defence and commercial shipbuilding capabilities, benefiting all Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), the Indian Navy (IN), the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Eligibility Requirements

a) Must be an Indian startup firm established according to the Companies Act, 2013.

b) Ready to assign engineers to NIRDESH CoE at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd.

c) Establishment age not exceeding 10 years.

d) Annual revenue not surpassing 100 Crores (INR).

e) Proficiency in the relevant domain, with a focus on innovation and improving products/services.
