Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2025
The eligibility differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2, depending on the level of teaching position applied for.
For Paper 1 (Primary Level - Classes I to V):
- Candidates must have passed 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and possess a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
OR
- Candidates with 12th + 4-year B.El.Ed qualification are also eligible.
For Paper 2 (Upper Primary Level - Classes VI to VIII):
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree (BA/B.Sc/B.Com) with at least 50% marks and have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed.
OR
- 12th + 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed degree holders can also apply.
