The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha issued the OSSTET Notification 2023 on December 8, 2023. On December 11, 2023, the apply link for OSSTET Notification 203 became active. All qualified applicants may apply online for the OSSTET Application Form 2023 till December 22, 2023.

Notification

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE) has issued the official notification for the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET 2023). This opens the door for candidates interested in teaching in government schools throughout the state. The application period runs from December 11th to December 22nd, 2023.

Steps to Apply

• Visit the OSSTET 2023 application website at bseodisha.ac.in.
• Initiate the registration process by selecting "New Registration."
• Provide all the required information in the registration form and submit to generate the registration number and password.
• Log in to the website using the registered email and password. Once successfully logged in, complete the detailed application form.
• Proceed to pay the application fee based on your category.
• Click on the final submission button to submit the OSSTET Application Form 2023.
• Print a copy of the application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern

I. The OSSTET comprises two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
II. The duration of the test for each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
III. All questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with each carrying one mark and presenting four alternatives, of which one is correct.
IV. There is no provision for negative marking

Educational Qualification

• To be eligible for the OSSTET examination, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have completed their graduate degree in the subject selected for the Odisha TGT Examination. The OSSTET Application Form 2023 requires candidates to fulfill the following criteria:
• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in the chosen subject from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates).
• Completion of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed course from an NCTE Recognized Institution.
• Successful completion of a four-year integrated B.A.B.Ed from an NCTE recognized Institution, with two school subjects as Honours/Elective/Pass/Optional/Compulsory (list of school subjects at annexure-I), having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates)
