The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), under Govt. of Odisha, has invited online applications from qualified and interested candidates for filling Forty Five (45) vacancies to the post of Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO) through direct recruitment on a fulltime basis to be posted in the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) under Home Department in Odisha, India. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on August 8, 2020 and closes on September 7, 2020.

OSSC Recruitment: Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Assistant Scientific Officer posts through OSSC Recruitment 2020 must have completed 21 years of age as on January 1, 2019 and not have exceeded 32 years, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC and all women candidates as specified in the notification.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 200 (Gen/SEBC) as OSSC exam fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit, etc. payment gateways) mode only. SC/ST and PWD candidates are exempted from pay the OSSC exam fee.

OSSC Recruitment: Educational Criteria

Desirous candidates applying for Assistant Scientific Officer posts through OSSC Recruitment 2020 must possess a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Physics, Zoology, Psychology and M.Sc in Computer Science or M.Tech in Computer Science from a UGC/AICTE recognised University/Institution as specified in the advertisement.

Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia dialect.

Candidates selected as Lab Assistants-cum-Store Keepers post through OSSC Recruitment 2019 will be paid an emolument of Rs. 16,880 per month.
