On Friday, the government of Uttar Pradesh announced the dates for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Entrance Test (TET) for next academic year. According to the order issued by the government, an advertisement will be released on 10th December after which candidates can register online. Teachers who will clear the test will be recruited in the government primary and upper primary schools.
The sources revealed that, though the government is organising TET-2014, but government till now has not recruited the candidates who cleared the test last year. The TET-2014 will be held on 22nd to 23rd February. The last date for the online applications is 6th January.
From 7th January, the candidates will get a chance to edit their applications in case of an error. The Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari, who will conduct the test, will apprise the total number of applications to the government by 22nd January. Examination centers will be fixed by 25th January. The candidates can download the admit cards from 6th February. To make the test more transparent, answerkeys will be uploaded on the website after the test, candidates can raise objections if any, by 28th February. From 1st to 6th of March the objections will be reviewed and the updated answer key will be uploaded on the website on 10th of March.
For candidates seeking appointments in primary schools, the question paper will be of 150 marks. Out of this, 30 questions of one mark each will be on child nutrition and another 30 questions of one mark each will be based on comprehensions and another 30, again of one mark each will test Hindi grammar. Remaining 60 questions of one mark each will be based on language expression which has been replaced by essay this year.
